about

Pasa Madie was a charming Tamil girl who lived in a small fishing village just outside of Mamallapuram, South India. She was the prettiest thing you have ever seen, always smiling and giggling as she walked past our house to sell fish at the local market. Sometimes she would stop in front of the house offering us the best of the days catch. Her smile was more radiant than the sun. We would buy fish from her just to stand in her presence. She was the daughter of the chief of the village, so I guess that kinda makes her a real princess. .....because without doubt, she looked like one. Soon after we left India we heard the she had died from AIDS contracted from her husband from an arranged marriage......she was 16 years old. Due to her Cast and insulting her husband by dying so young, her body was burned at the end of the street, her ashes scattered into the sea. This piece of music is dedicated to her. It's called Pasa Madie. (true story folks, ask Velraj)

Strings written, arranged and performed by Will Alleyne, Kevin Kearney - Guitar.
